This document specifies the requirements for chemical composition, mass per metre, geometric, mechanical, technological and shape properties of:

- weldable ribbed bars and coils, for the reinforcement of concrete, of grade FeE500 of categories 2 and 3, distinguishable by different mechanical characteristics (see Table 4), and diameter 5 to 40 mm (see Table 2);

- of sheets of welded fabric composed of aforementioned bars of diameter 5 to 16 mm and factory made on automatic machines (see Table 2).

This document also specifies the evaluation conditions of the properties of these products. This document does not apply:

- to weldable plain bars for the reinforcement of concrete (see ECOSTAND 070-1 :2017 standard, Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete – Weldable Plain Bars);

- to non-weldable ribbed bars and rods for the reinforcement of concrete (see ECOSTAND 070-2 : 2017 standard Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete – Non Weldable Ribbed Bars and Rods);

- to indented wires and welded fabrics composed of these wires (see NF A 35- 017 :1996 "Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete Composed of Indented Wires", forthcoming)
