The Association Sénégalaise de Normalization is organizing a training workshop on national standards for on-site sanitation facilities from 22 to 23 June 2022.

The overall objective of this workshop is to raise awareness of the series of standards for on-site sanitation facilities and to raise awareness of the use of standards to support public policy, regulation and the quality of services provided.

The specific objectives are:

- Presentation of Part 1: Planning and Design Requirements;

With funding from the African Development Bank (AFDB) through PAIMRAI, the ASN is organizing two capacity building sessions for members of technical standardization committees from 7 to 8 July 2021 and from 12 to 14 July 2021. This activity is part of the implementation of the action plan of the National Quality Policy in its "Standardization" component.

The principles and bases of standardization

Standards are an essential tool to contribute to and facilitate the implementation of public policies, but also to accompany the development of off-grid solar energy to ensure its sustainability and continuous improvement.

It is in this context that GIZ, through a request from ANER, financed the development and adoption of 45 standards in the field of solar photovoltaic energy by the Senegalese Association for Standardization through the National Electro technical Committee (CEN-SN).

As part of the implementation of the National Quality Policy action plan financed by the African Development Bank (AFDB) through the Institutional Support Programmer for Resource Mobilization and Investment Attractiveness (PAIMRAI AFDB), the Senegalese Association for Standardization (ASN) is organizing from 28 to 30 June a second training session on the standard "ISO 17025: 2017 - General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories"; for a capacity building of the national laboratories staff.

With funding from the African Development Bank (ADB) through PAIMRAI, the ASN is organizing a training workshop for members of the special certification committees on product certification from 21 to 23 June 2021.
