This part specifies the essential dimensions of socket-type connections, used for spark-ignition engines. Applies to high-tension sockets and cable connectors of type "A" (figures 1 and 2). An annex gives socket and connector type "B" (figures 3 and 4). This first edition cancels and replaces the ISO 3553:1975.
